Evocations

Dreams and memory, like life itself, are in color. Through the act of painting they are transformed and come alive. Some works draw inspiration from the hues of a burning sun or from the lessons of the great Venetian colorists, such as Tiepolo.

They are created with oil paints or with pigments and egg tempera on pure linen canvases.

Some canvases bear witness to the presence of those we have loved and who are no longer with us, like a light that guides and consoles; others reflect human fragility, exposed to daily violence and injustice.

This project is a fresco of my inner life, the synthesis of the mental wanderings that cross my human experience. Each canvas is a symbol of metamorphosis: one embarks on a journey that seems familiar, yet color seduces and leads toward unexplored shores, revealing new forms and emotional intensities.

Evocations is the place where consciousness and emotion meet, offering the viewer a personal revelation mediated by the transformative power of color.
